Catering to multi-language markets can be a challenge. Giving your guests the best possible experience from booking to check-out is easiest when you can speak to them in their own tongue, but doing that with more than a handful of languages is hard.

Your listings on platforms like OTAs, metasearch engines, and your own marketing channels will often be the first point of contact between you and your future guests. So make sure to have your listings available in all the relevant languages. Find out which languages your guests tend to speak, and create listings in each of those languages to make the booking process as comfortable as possible from the very beginning.

If there are certain languages that are very commonly spoken by your guests, it makes sense to hire staff members who are fluent in those languages. Of course, it’s not realistic to expect your staff to speak every single language spoken by your guests, but it’s a good idea to have the most common ones covered so you can give your customers a more rewarding stay, answer their questions easily, and make them feel at home.
